The challenge
What was the contest?
SLTL Group invited students across India to suggest a new name for its RF & Microwave Division. Entrants submitted their unique ideas for a chance to win exciting rewards.
Step 01
The Brand Name
Entrants were asked to come up with a unique and memorable brand name for SLTL's RF & Microwave Division — related to RF & Microwave, or a completely original, coined (non-dictionary) word, for example Apple, Google, Urban Monkey, or Nano Banana. Candidates were asked to check that the .com domain was available on GoDaddy before submitting.
Step 02
The Logo
Entrants could optionally create a logo to match their proposed brand name and identity.
Step 03
The Explanation
Entrants briefly explained the meaning of their name and how it reflected innovation and technology.
Step 04
Upload & Submission
Entrants completed the form, uploaded their files, and submitted their entry before the deadline.

SLTL was founded.

RF & Microwave
A new frequency began.
SLTL launched its RF & Microwave Division — manufacturing absorbers, RAM and anechoic chambers for global aerospace and electronics customers.
2026
The Naming Contest
A new identity was written.
After 19 years of shaping signals, the RF & Microwave Division asked for a name worthy of its work — and many of you answered the call. Submissions have now closed, and the winning name will be announced soon.

Everyone was welcome to participate. There were no restrictions based on profession, education, or industry experience.
There was no limit. Entrants could submit as many name ideas as they liked — each one went in as a separate entry, so many participants explored more than one direction.
Winners will be contacted directly by email now that submissions have closed. Shortlisted names may also be featured on SLTL's social channels — with permission.
Yes. International student entries were welcome. PPI offers and gift fulfilment may vary by region — we'll coordinate directly with winners.
By submitting, entrants agreed that if their name was selected, the rights would transfer to SLTL for use as the RF & Microwave Division's identity. Non-winning entries remain with their authors.
Yes — due to strong interest, the registration deadline was extended once to give everyone more time to complete their entries. Submissions are now closed for good, and no further extensions will be made.
